Description Heirloom Vegetable.Variety originated in Japan. Excellent selection for the home garden. Slightly tapered reddish-orange roots average 15-20 cm (6-8) in length with a wonderful crisp sweet taste. High water content makes Kuroda a superb choice for juicing. Great storage carrot. Matures in 72 days. How to Grow Sow seed in a sunny site with well prepared light soil after the soil temperature rises above 7.5C (45F). Germination can take from 14-21 days. Planting Depth: 6 mm (1/4). Seed Spacing: 6 mm (1/4). Thin to: 5 cm (2). Row Width: 50 cm (20). COMMENTS: Keep seedbeds evenly moist and avoid crusting over soil during the germination period. Avoid high nitrogen fertilizer.
